Still need to get into the habit of writing again! I'll probably just try to go back and write other things that I remember.

The B1A4 concert was on the Yonsei University campus. It was outdoors but they gave us inflatable seats in case the hard stone was too difficult for us to sit on. The concert's theme was kind of like a marching band style, they had a band, flag twirlers and a bunch of back up dancers. Part of me thought they were university students, but who knows?

B1A4 are pretty good performers, and what I appreciated the most from their concert was that most of it was accompanied by live music. There was a band set up on the side of the stage, and the musicians switched out and played other instruments depending on what song they were doing.

In the middle of the stage, there was a moment where all of them had their own set of drums, so each of them had their own short sample, and then they all played together. It sounded really nice. :)

They had a variety of things, and each act of the concert had their own theme, like there was red, blue, black, colorful, and something else. Colorful was my favorite because it seemed that they had a lot of fun with it, considering it was mentioned at the encore? There was raving on stage complete with glowsticks, and they went up and down the aisles again.

For my opinions on some of the members, Baro seems to have the most energy out of all of them. Or at least he was being more considerate and asking people to sit down to make sure that everyone can see them. There were a few times when they've walked down the aisles to be closer to the fans, so some people had to crane their heads up to see them.

Sandeul was always that threshold in between liking him and him becoming my favorite. He was very happy the whole time and he played with the members a lot. As much as I like Sandeul though, he looks very... constipated when he sings. haha. He had a habit of scrunching up his face whenever he was singing, but he still looked pretty.

Jinyoung was probably the quietest. For me, he didn't really have that much of a stage presence to me. But he does have sense and he played along with the members when they wanted to play with him. Once, the members came out wearing costumes (Jinyoung - carrot, CNU = musketeer, Baro - sumo skeleton, Sandeul - idk I think he was wearing PJs?, Gongchan - I forgot what he was wearing. ;;), he held Jinyoung's carrot by the stem and was saying things like "hello, mr. carrot" and asking him questions in which Jinyoung would reply with a different voice.

Anyway, that's all I remember from it so far. :> If I think of other things, I'll write them down.

So we found out from our friend that there was an f(x) fansign in Myeongdong. When I heard about it, I didn't think we'd have a chance to get in considering it was in the middle of Seoul and on a Saturday. But when Kat was getting the albums, I made my decision to try for it too.

Little did we know that I was one of the lucky people to get in??? I was kind of near the last of the people, so I was sitting in my seat for the longest time just staring at them, enjoying the music and watching as the fans go by one by one.

Before we get to the actual concert, I'd like to point out that SHINee really did sell out their concert. People were waiting outside for hours at a chance to buy tickets at the ticket office the same day. From what I've heard, they opened up another two sections for those fans too, and we managed to get good seats! No goods though, but their L file folders looked really pretty. Not everyone was able to get tickets that day either, so there were girls already forming a line for the ticket box the next morning. That's dedication right there.

but onto the concert )

Went to Chanyeol appa's live cafe.

We arrived there early so we were the only ones sitting at the tables. There was also a VIP room and we heard people there, but that was about it. All of the other EXO symbols were added to the wall too. I remember seeing pictures before of only Chanyeol's flame symbol, but everyone else's was there too. Chanyeol's was signed and D.O's was signed, so I'm thinking that all the others would eventually be signed too.

About half an hour later after we ordered our drinks, Park appa showed up with what we assumed were family and friends. We were the only ones sitting down at the tables, so he walked up to us, asked us where we were from and then thanked us for coming.

There was a time where one of the girls working there was performing, and Park appa went up to the drums and started performing with her. So yeah, he can play the drums???

A friend of ours was also there so she could write about the cafe, so she went up to him to tell him about it and asked if she could take a picture of him. He held the magazine but before that, he was figuring out how to pose and came up with standing at attention with his hands to his sides. Park appa is silly too???

We ordered some food there, had the nachos, french fries, and fried chicken. The fried chicken was amazing, nachos were like cinema quality and the fries weren't bad. There were also alcoholic drinks and my friends bought a few cocktails. Park appa was behind the bar getting their drinks ready. So Park appa can mix drinks???

He was trying to explain to us about the people who would be performing, asked us if we've been to Hongdae because they perform at a certain cafe there. He seemed to understand a lot of what we were saying to him too. Park appa knows some English???

During one of the hours, he got up with the group he entered the cafe with, sat down at one of the stools and picked up the guitar to play with them. Park appa can play the guitar???

The people at the cafe were very friendly and some knew more English than others. The times when there weren't any performers, they were playing EXO tracks. haha. When we left, he actually saw us out too, stood near the door until all of us were ready and said bye. Park appa is a really cool guy???

That's pretty much it. I had a really good experience at the live cafe. Even if it weren't owned by Chanyeol's dad, I thought that it was a very laid back place to go to and hang out.

Now with graduation out of the way, I have a few months before I start off with another chapter of my life. But let me say first that I've finally graduated! I wish my GPA were higher, but you get what you earn, and I know I could have studied a lot more for tests and classes than I had, but it was overconfidence and procrastination that got in the way most times.

Some classes didn't even feel like I was doing hard work because they were fun to work on, but it was also challenging when the answers weren't right in your face. It was college anyway, and you learn how to search what you're looking for, unless your professor is really that bad and you can't understand the material at all, but I digress. The professors that I had knew the material well for the subjects that they were teaching, aside from a Work Life Stress class since it was her first time teaching the course, but I still had learned a few things from it.

This entry wasn't supposed to be all about my college studies though. It was about what I was going to do afterwards, and that is going to Korea! I've already had it in my mind to travel overseas after I had graduated from college. The two things that are holding me back from doing what I want to do are time and money. Time not as much now because I'm working a job when I can work whenever I can, but I know that's going to change and I shouldn't slack off with that. I was looking up internships that I could take, but some of them didn't seem like they were for pay, so I was weary about taking up any of them.

Teaching English in Korea was an option for me, so was joining the military. Teaching English in Korea seemed like a more reachable option for me to take (mainly because I'm not fit enough to join the military. currently), so I went with it, and I hopefully start in November once I have all of my documents in! It's an exciting job to look forward to, and for everyone who knows about it, they all said that they were excited for me as well and heard from other people that it's going to be a rewarding experience. I already agree with them.

This isn't my life-long goal though, to be a teacher. I had considered being a teacher before but I know it's something that I might want to do just for a few years or so. At this point, I do know I want to go to graduate school, but I still don't know what I want to study. I still should keep in mind the things I need for the application such as letters of recommendation and things like that, and I have heard of post-bac programs that I might want to look into too and this time hopefully talk to the professors more. It might be something I'd have to worry about in the future, but it's better to be prepared, right?

One of my professors said before that San Francisco State has a 100% success rate of sending masters graduates to PhD programs. The same might apply for post-baccalaureate, but I didn't ask. It might just be being a member of one of the psychology labs and running your own experiments. All the honors undergrad students run their own tests anyway.

When I first transferred to SF State, I read about the honors program and I was really interested in it. Considering that you were able to ask a question and do your own research for it, it sounded fun! The problem was that you probably needed a statement and answer specifically what it was that you were interested in, and when I claimed as a psychology major, I didn't have anything in mind that I really wanted to study.

Even for this controversial issues class that I'm taking, I looked up a lot of articles about video games and its cognitive effects on the brain. It would be something that I would like to study and actually run participants for, but really I might not have the patience for it now. I've been in college for six years, four of them at a community college taking different classes because I didn't know what to do. The first half I didn't do well because I had no idea what I wanted to study and I generally slacked off. That greatly effected my GPA needless to say, but I was able to turn in a form so that some classes could be taken out of that calculation (my all college GPA is now over a 3.0 ;A;).

I wanted to do something art related when I first graduated from high school, maybe even go to an art school for it, but both my parents tried to persuade me to do otherwise. "Why don't you be a doctor or a dentist?" is what my mom said. My dad said something different, about getting a degree on something more practical and then have art as my secondary. I don't blame them for thinking that way. My mom didn't finish college because she had me. There were probably some other factors in there but I never really asked neither did I ask what she was going to study. Then there's my dad who went to a trade school, but he said if he had the money, he would have gone to university and do something with astrophysics. My older cousins on my dad's side have gotten "practical" degrees too. I have a cousin who has a masters in genetics, another one with a BA in biology, two who are medical doctors, one who is in med school studying to be a doctor, and another one who's a nurse. My major is at least science related as well, but it's not considered a hard science like the others.

I have entertained the thought of going to graduate school for some time now. At first I thought I wanted it to be psychology related, but now I'm thinking that I do want to stray back and have it be something art related. Aside from the psychology classes I took, another class that I really liked was critical study of popular culture. Depending on what's needed for that, I might look into something more media or humanities related. Graduate school may not be right for me now. Maybe after some time away from classes, it could be.
